Best Micellar Water At The Drugstore? | Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I can definitely call myself a cleansing balms and oils lover. I think they are the easiest, most efficient way of taking your makeup off before doing a proper cleanse. However, when you're in a hurry, travelling or you've run off your favorite cleansing oil (The Body Shop Chamomile one) trying new stuff is always interesting. Last month, before going on vacation, I picked up the Garnier Micellar Water from my local drugstore, after hearing so many great stuff about it on blogs and vlogs.

The packaging is really nice and it reminds me a lot of the Bioderma one, a cult classic. It's really big, so you get a lot for you money but it can also be a bit difficult to travel with it. The good thing is that it doesn't leak and you can safely put it in your luggage without having to worry about it later. The product itself feels like plain water and it doesn't really have a smell. I really like this about it as it makes me trust it with my stubborn skin that easily breaks out from weird ingredients.

I soak two cotton pads with the water and gently massage my skin with it. For removing eye makeup I just hold the cotton pads onto the eyes for a few seconds and then start massaging. It breaks off waterproof eyeliner and mascara and gets rid of my most long lasting foundation as well. The great part is that it does it in just a few seconds and you don't have to spend a lot of time rubbing your skin. I usually follow up with a creamy cleanser to really get into my pores and cleanse the skin thoroughly.

I've been loving this for travelling, lazy mornings and make-up errors as it's super quick and efficient and doesn't cost more than £3.5, wherever you'd get it from. Have you tried it? What's your favorite cleansing method?

  2. I am yet to try the Bioderma one... even when I lived in France where you get it so cheap I still never tried it! Always great to hear about a good back up option!

  6. Hi! I've used this micellar water twice and I don't know why but after using it, it leaves such a terrible smell of mould/ wet cellar walls on my skin and it drives me crazy!! I liked how it takes off the make-up quickly, but the smell was just a thing I couldn't tolerate so I started using the Bioderma micellar waters and one from Bourjois - they all work fine for me! :)

    1. To me it smells like plastic haha! Anywaays, not the most amazing smell for a skincare product, I know! I'm not very fussy with smells though. I have to check out the ones from Bourjois! x
